A free program for Browser games, by Atari

Atari Breakout is designed as an arcade video game introduced back in 1976. Breakout 2000, an improvised version of the same game and a more popular one today makes the game interesting based on the initial game concept integration. The web browser game is more popular in the USA and other Western countries today than anywhere else.

The online Atari Breakout game is directly accessible through popular browsers, with the most common access on Google. It is available in several versions and configurations for easy accessibility on various devices. Check out how you can play the game easily on your desktop browser.

What is the gameplay of Atari Breakout?

The arcade game Atari Breakout comes in a brick layout arranged in eight rows. The rows are marked with separate color schemes for easy identification, divided into red, orange, green, and yellow from the top to bottom for two simultaneous rows. It also involves a ball that is to be used for breaking the bricks and earning points.

Atari Breakout is played with a set number of turns for each round. Each turn involves using the ball to knock down bricks with the help of sidewalls and/or a paddle placed towards the bottom of the screen. The player gets only three chances to break and eliminate two same-colored brick rows.

The points assigned in the browser game ascend from yellow to red, with yellow earning 1 point and green earning 3, with orange and red bricks earning 5 and 7 points respectively. If the player does not break any brick in a turn, they lose the turn.

The paddle size also reduces to half once the ball hits the roof through the red brick. The speed of the ball changes with the ascending turn intervals. The steps to play Atari Breakout include the following:

  • Click on the ball to start your first-round turn.
  • Place the ball strategically on the floor or paddle for a suitable bounce and aim at the brick wall.
  • Complete all brick row elimination to end the game.

Should I play Atari Breakout?

As the desktop browser game Atari Breakout is played in both single and double-player mode, you can always invite a friend or sibling to play and bond along. It is a quick game and involves typical hand-eye coordination, making it a great gaming option for children and grown-ups alike.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
